error message when export data to excel from MYOB premium

When I exact data from MYOB to excel(if the data is more than 1 month), I am always received the following error message and as a result, the data export from MYOB was incomplete. However, my other colleague does not seem to have my problem.

 

COleDispatchException.SCODE:00000000,Descrtiption:"".

 

I am using windows 8.

 

Can anybody please help?!

Payroll Calendar Premier Live 2014.4

Good morning,

 

When processing payroll in new Premier live version 2014.4, when you select the pay period, the pay week calendar starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Our businees week ends on a Saturday, which is the end of the week anyway.

 

 

In the previous classic version, the payroll calendar starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday.

 

 

Is there any way to change the payroll calendar in ACC Right Premier 2014.4 to starting on Sunday?

Activity Slip Reports

This is more of a bug fix than a new idea.

 

It appears that the report date field - which cannot be changed - in the Activity Slip (Job Detail) report shows the custom report creation date rather than the report creation date.

 

Also the filed window for the page numbering is not big enough and gets cut off.

MYOB AccountRight - Integration with Flexibake

Does anybody use the manufacturing software Flexibake and integrates it with MYOB AccountRight?

 

If so, please let me know how you find it - specifically with the import of debtors, creditors and stock.

Bank Reconciliations

Previously, there was an option to click on Actions while in the bank rec – this allows you to do pay bills, receive payments etc…

In Live, there doesn’t seem to be this option.  Is that right?  So to do transactions you have to cancel out of the bank rec?

 

Incorrect Company File Id

My Client, before they requested my services setup a trial of MYOB which provided them with a Company File ID #. As they did not provide me with this information when I recommended MYOB AccountRight Live Plus, when we set up our new product a new ID was created. However, when they went to register the new product, the wrong Company Id Number was linked to the monthly payment. Can the payment be transfered over by you, or what process do we have to go thru to fix this, asap.

Big Speed Issues

Hi All

 

I have been up late and pulling my hair out with AR live speed issues. Came across various posts whilst seeking solutions and looking at other user experiences. What I cannot understand when looking at Posts and responses particularly from MYOB specialists and indeed MYOB itself is the widespread concept that it is either a result of poor computer speed, slow internet, anti virus issues and the likes.  I particularly take exception to these excuses when I have an appopriate computer, VDSL connection and anti virus that does not interfere with any other application or programme running on the computer.  One suggestion from a specialist was that you should "work offline" is at odds with the whole "Live" concept. If I wanted to use the Live version for a short time only to update it wouldn't this be complicating my processes by adding another step in maintaining an accounting system, which if I followed the advice would simply leave me with a glorified desktop version?

 

With this in mind I ask whether it would indeed be more practical to use the desktop system?  In order to draw speed comparisons I have tried a freshbooks and Xero trial, I had no speed problems with these programmes, furthermore I noted that I did not need to download a file onto the computer to use these or have a primary file open on a main computer in order to allow another user to login from a different location. Whats more I did not need to undertake backups as these appear to be provided.  Again I wonder if I have made the right decision to upgrade to AR Live the speed issue is reducing efficiency and I am unsure what else to do?  I have used MYOB for a few years and done a lot of training with it but something just doesn't sit right with me when I am being told its a cloud application when really it seems like a locally hosted application with remote access and therefore resulting in the types of problems I note many users have raised.

Hi,

One of my clients is receiving the below message when trying to open their MYOB AccountRight 2012.0.0 version.

Any ideas on what could be causing this to happen?

Data Verification

This mornng , i had a screen pop up stating "The last time your Data was verified was 425 days ago" ........... MYOB Aust cannot guarantee that a damage  can be repaired.  This happened when I opened MYOB.

 

Reading some the literature in the community site , stating that I need to go to the main menu, select file, then select preference & Security, Check for errror.

 

Is this right?

hi.. i had a problem where my closing balance at balance sheet is different from closing balance at general ledger account.. how come this happen n how to overcome this problem.

Change over from First Account V3.5 to Account Right standard

HELP !!!  I have been using First Accounts V3.5 for ever (it's pretty much pre-historic), I completed my 2013-2014 tax return and my accountant told me that I really need to update my accounting package. This also meant that i needed to upgrade my "old" home computer as well.  I usually send my EOFY info to my accountant via email, he had to "update my data so that his current version of MYOB could read it. Anyway what has happened is:  I now have First Accounts standard on my new computer and my accountant has emailed me back my files in the "updated" format (.MYO file), no how the hell do i get this onto the new version and start work?????????????  In effect what I have is a brand new package waiting to be setup, but I have old updated data that I want to put on there. I really dont want to have to start from scratch???   Please help.

new user and no idea what my User ID is!

Please help!

 

I am a brand new MYOB AccountRight Basics user and only just installed and created my company file last night. Today I have tried to get back into my company file and can't get past the first part. It wants my User ID. I have no idea what my User ID is. I know my password, so that part is not a problem so tried my serial number, then email address then typing 'Administrator' as my User ID but none of these worked. How do I find out what my User ID is please.

Historical Balancing Account Error

Hithere,

 

When I set up a new company account and entry all the opeing balance, the

historical balancing account shows $71,222,27, but when I generate the Balance sheet, the  Historical Balancing Account shows $85,043.99.

 

Can some one help, as it happens to every company that I set up

Getting support

Two nights this week I have tried contacting live chat support and given up.

 

The other night I waited half an hour and wasn't served.

 

Tonight I waited nearly 20 minutes on two occasions and still didn't successfully get any staff member.

 

It seems that there is no staff member dedicated full time to live chat and when I went on tonight it said that one customer had waited 20 minutes to be served.

 

We're paying quite a bit of money each month for support that we can't get. Can this please be resolved as a matter of urgency. It costs money to sit around waiting to get served.

 

I have been trying to contact support to get a second online file.

 

I tried again and after waiting 30 minutes someone finally answered and it took me 45 minutes to get what I wanted because there was big long delays before each of my questions was answered. Something so simple.

Prepare Budgets

Is there only one way to get into the prepare budgets screen?

 

The only way i have found so far to get into that screen is by selecting command centre > accounts > accounts list > chosing an account > selecting edit > finally the budget screen opens.

 

Surely there is an easier way to get to budgets than this...!

 

Why isn't there the ablilty to enter and maintain budget for an indiviual account on the account editing screen?

Upgrading from essentials to accountright

I have recently purchased MYOB AccountRight Plus.  Am currently having difficulty logging in and transferring current data to accountright.

I have created a company file which when i try to access my passowrd will not work. Could you please explain  how I rectify this.  

My essentails subscription does nnot expire until end of month and wasd wondering if that was causing the issue.

 

I also exported my current files to my computer but cannot open it.

How to change default sign-on ID

We have "MYOB AccountRight Premier v19.9" on a couple machines.

When they login the default ID is set to "Administrator".

 

Is it possible to change this from always showing "Administrator" when first opening MYOB, to show their personal ID, so all they have to do is type their MYOB password in, instead of changing the ID as well.

 

Even if I have to set it manaully in a file or registry, I dont mind.

Unbelievable connection issues

Hello,

I am getting very frustrated - over the past mornign i had been knocked out of MYOB about 5 times and keeps coming up with the unable to connect message.

Our internet connection is fine, one time i turned off my computer and got back on quickly however that only last 5 minutes before i was closed out again.

 

How can i solve this problem????

Hi,

 

We are using MYOB AccountRight Enterprise. One of our companies has changed its name. We understand that we need to fill in a for and submit to MYOB to effect this change. Would appreciate if you can send me this form please. 

Or, can we go to Company Information and just type in the new name?
